my grandmother box

When I only have one photograph of someone, like my grandmother, I use it over and over and over.

I made this box shortly after we moved from Kenora to Manitoulin in 1993.  I had done the photo transfer of my grandmother earlier, using 'picture this' acrylic medium.  I transferred the photo-copied image several times onto white cotton, and then added details with ink and paint.  I sewed 2 images together to make a piece of fabric large enough for the box lid.

I'll post photos of the entire box at some later date.
